It was the beginning of something amazing...
Ub Iwerks and Walt Disney didn't stop there. They decided to head to one of the most amazing movie making capital places ever, which was where the most successful people started at. Hollywood, California. Walt headed to Hollywood to start something that he never thought would be so successful with only his suitcase and twenty dollars in his pocket. They started working on something new which turned out to be very fascinating. This one was about a little girl that went on adventures to a world with vivid and dynamic characters. The wonderful series was named "Alice Comedies" and they were delivered by (Margaret) M.J. Winkler.
Walt was helped in money situations by his brother Roy O. Disney and Margaret (M.J. Winkler). For the rest of his life Margaret and Roy continued to be his business partner. Between 1923 and 1927, several of "Alice Comedies" were being made because they basically wanted to put it all out there before they lost their "shine" in other words popularity.
A new animated character was being worked on by Walt, called "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit" and luckily it was acknowledged. "This series was successful, but in 1928, Walt discovered that M.J. Winkler and her husband, Charles Mintz, had stolen the rights to the character away from him. They had also stolen all his animators, except for Ub Iwerks." - from the website IMDb. Walt began drawing on a paper while he was taking the train home. This drawing was about a mouse that was called Mickey, which is now known as Mickey Mouse. The most famous cartoon animation.
Since Margaret and her husband were basically no longer at hand wth Walt all he had was himself and Ub to draw and animate and to ink in the animation cells. Walt had his wife Lillian Disney also called Lilly, and Roy's wife which was Edna Disney with running the bisnuess as well. With that only three Mickey Mouse cartoons were composed. Sadly the first two didn't really make anything. Due to the fact that the first two didn't sell Walt then added adjusted sound to the third one which was Steamboat Willie and surprisingly it changed everything. It was big. It evolved into the first cartoon to use adjusted sound. This one had Walt's voice so it debuted to be amazing.
More cartoons were produced. Walt was basically big now and acknowledged but that didn't stop him from continuing to create new ideas.
